DYNAMIC! WITH OR WITHOUT APPARATUS!
DYNAMIC!
This sequence is a lot of fun! One way to play with versatility, is with pace. Our body’s thrive when we apply a variation of movement and dynamic. Sometimes slow and controlled is great, sometimes, quick and responsive is beneficial.
A great energy and mood booster! This sequence can be done with or without an apparatus. If using the floor - thus increasing the range traveled, therefore more challenging. If you wanted to modify and make it a touch easier, you could use a long box. But you need to either fix it against the wall, or secure it in a way, so that its not going to slide away when you land!
I like to introduce this sequence somewhere in the middle or near the end of a practice, after the shoulder girdle and upper limb, has been thoroughly warmed up and prepared.
Here I’m using the Elements Harness Sling
But you can use your regular Elements Wide Sling or any other that you have. I have taught and practiced this sequence with a variety of slings.
I filmed this class the day before I was in a serious car accident and I edited the footage, two months after the traumatic event, in the thick of my rehabilitation. It required a lot of emotional energy. Knowing that I couldn’t do any of these movements and the uncertainty whether I would ever do them again, was confronting, to be honest. Alas, I was very determined to upload this video for you and it gives me great pleasure to know that you will be able to enjoy and reap the benefits from this dynamic, fun practice. Please enjoy, for me.
