BEGINNER BAND

In this Beginner level class, we explore Pilates Fundamentals with the resistance band / loop. These foundational exercises are great for moments in our life, when we have had a hiatus from training and we desire something approachable and unintimidating to ease us back into exercise. Or for post-rehabilitation training (or to complement in initial phases of rehabilitation, under the supervision of a professional). Or simply, an opportunity to revisit the basics, dig a little deeper to tap into the layers and discover a fresh perspective! Because there are always more layers!

Everything has it’s place and it’s moment! It’s never about something being right or wrong, good or bad, better or worse!

Actually, more sensibly it’s about finding it’s purpose with useful application. Which is a great reason to explore a little bit of everything and cultivate your versatility and adaptability, in both body and mind!

Whilst I teach multiple movement modalities and with principle; I don’t favor one over the other - my current rehabilitation experience has drawn me back to my early roots; in Pilates foundation. I was fortunately introduced to Pilates at the bright-eyed age of 12 by a very forward-thinking physiotherapist - especially at that time! It held me graciously through my full-time ballet training years and kept me injury-free. It was my savour when I left the dance world and pursued a career as a teacher and it gave me an incredible amount of joy to be able to mould my love of movement, into something that helped others.

What do they often say about life moving in full circle … well here I am!
