This practice is inspired by my own rehabilitation and intuitive movement remedies. I had a multiple fractured humerus that required significant metalwork; medial and lateral rods with at least 11 screws! Significantly impairing my elbow ROM, of which I’ve been clinically informed this will be permanent and irreversible. When I practice movements that apply effective fascial and neural mobilisation, my ROM improves significantly (my arm is visibly straighter!) and the tension subsides. Even with a 14 min practice.
Although, I hope no one else needs to utilize this class, with this unfortunate circumstances. I think it is very common to feel neural tension, rounded-shoulders, or a general overuse in the upper limb; too much tech/screen-time, baby-carrying, gardening. Or for example - high dosage or imbalance of a particular input, like pushing (lots of pushing input in yoga) or gripping (kettlebell training). Both absolutely great inputs and hugely helpful. But too much of a good thing, is still too much! Maybe it’s worth considering balance & variability of input?
