WING LINE
This tutorial - designed for the Garuda apparatus or Pilates Reformer - explores full-body integration, with a particular focus on shoulder and scapular mobility and stability.
Here I’m using Elements Double Loops (for hands)
We connect to the wing line: a kinesthetic pathway travelling from the pinky finger to the lower tip of the scapula. This creates a greater awareness of serratus anterior, helping to organise the shoulder girdle.
Quadruped variations provide challenge, demanding full body integration, throughout this series.
*Like many of the tutorials, the sequences are layered. Beginning with the Beginner variations and building up to the Progression level. So you have the option to progress, if and when it’s appropriate.
Light to Medium Spring. 1B or 1B & 1Y. Adjust the pulley to the required tension, ie. shorter/heavier, longer/lighter.
