NEW SLING & APPARATUS TUTORIAL

We begin by finding hip extension while effectively organising the trunk, before introducing spinal extension.

From here, we build towards more complex movement patterns, including arm circles and swimming, inviting the arms and spine to move with increasing coordination and fluidity.

The pulleys create an ebb and flow, encouraging us to feel the natural transition from rocking forwards to rocking back.

Throughout, the sling provides valuable feedback, helping us sense the pulley connection and explore differences between the left and right sides of the pelvis.

By tuning into this information, we can make thoughtful adjustments and discover how support, connection and rhythm shape the way we move.

Here I’m using Pilates Reformer Safety Foot-Strap (as a sling) from Elements. I like the length, providing adequate traction and feedback. As well as the width, providing targeted feedback to the pelvis. I also like the Elements Long Sling (shorter setting) for this practice.
