Loaded Flexibility Workshop w/ Magnus Ringberg

In this on demand Space M Workshop, you’ll explore four different types of loaded flexibility training programs. You will develop strength through a large range of motion and gain new experiences in body awareness. This workshop is perfect for those looking to incorporate more resistance training into their movement practice or add more flexibility training to their resistance routines. You’ll learn sequences that can be easily integrated into your exercise regimen.

Who is it for? Open to all levels.

Required Equipment: You will need kettlebells or dumbbells for the workshop. I recommend a pair (8-16 kg) and one lighter weight (4-14 kg) for single-arm work and presses, a thick yoga mat, and two large blocks. Additionally, we will use a box, chair, or table for some assisted elevated movements, and slide pads.

Exactly 2 years ago I assisted Magnus in his Loaded Flexibility workshop in Göteborg, Sweden. And recently I had the enormous privilege of assisting him again, in Göteborg.

Magnus is a physiotherapist, with a masters in Sports Science from the University of Linneus in Sweden and has been working as a research assistant and PhD-student. He is an internationally renowned movement educator with an inspiring and intelligent approach to movement and rehabilitation.

Magnus was hugely influential in my own polytrauma rehabilitation and continues to be an immense source of knowledge and optimism. I am very grateful.

Not only that, but it is a huge privilege to move and teach alongside a professional of this caliber. Especially as I consider that 20 months ago, there was a big question mark over whether I would move and teach again, let alone, lift a heavy kettlebell. It feels like a very meaningful personal accomplishment and I am proud of that hard, but worthwhile commitment to my recovery.
